Because the radio stations start playing the classic Christmas songs even before Thanksgiving, by Christmas Eve I’m in need of some variety, some different music. This song was not written for Christmas, but it’s a great fit and a nice change of pace from the classics.
“And you asked me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days
‘Cause I don’t need boxes wrapped in strings
And designer love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days”
Let me know what you think, and also whether you have a favorite “non-Christmas” Christmas song. . .
